pv-tools GmbH is a German enterprise founded in 2008 by Dr. Bernhard Fischer and Dipl. Ing. (FH) Gerd Heintz who rely on a decade of experience in silicon solar cell characterisation, automatisation technology of test systems as well as the development of physical test instruments.
We are located in Hameln, where the focus lies on prototyping, and Waldburg, the company's headquarter and production facility.
Our mission is the development and manufacturing of measurement devices for the photovoltaic industry to assist them in their search for potential improvements of their solar cells.
We approach this goal by a comprehensive loss analysis of the solar cells, which results from the combined, quantitative evaluation of selected measurements, both global and with spatial resolution.
A software package for the combined evaluation of the measurements is being developed at the Institut für Solarenergieforschung Hameln (ISFH) within a German research project.
